Attorney Says OU's Rodney Anderson Passed Polygraph Test

Posted: Updated:
NORMAN, Oklahoma -

University of Oklahoma running back Rodney Anderson passed a polygraph test regarding rape allegations against him, according to Anderson's attorney.

In an email sent to News 9, attorney Derek Chance wrote that retired FBI investigator Bill Brown administered a three-hour lie detector test this week to the OU running back. A woman filed a police report with Norman Police earlier this week, accusing Anderson of raping her last month after a night of drinking.

Anderson has not been charged with any crime. However, Norman Police are investigating the allegations against him.

"This week, we have worked to demonstrate Mr. Anderson's innocence. That work included a polygraph examination of Mr. Anderson. The examination was conducted Tuesday afternoon by retired FBI polygraph examiner Bill Brown. As expected, the results showed Mr. Anderson is honest and truthful in his denial of the allegations. As our work continues toward a final resolution, Mr. Anderson is incredibly thankful for the generous and overwhelming outpouring of support he has received from friends and family," Chance said.

(Update: The Cleveland County District Attorney, Greg Mashburn, announced Dec. 14 that he would not pursue any charges against Anderson. Read that story here.)
