Grass Fire Threatening Homes In Northeast OKC

<p>The Oklahoma City Fire Department is responding to a grass fire that has spread to at least one house near Kelly, between E. Hefner Road and E. Britton Road, Thursday.&nbsp;</p>

The Oklahoma City Fire Department is working to extinguish a wildfire that ignited around 2 p.m.,Thursday.

Two homes and two vehicles were damaged in the fire. No injuries have been reported at this time, according to OKC Fire Battalion Chief Benny Fulkerson. 

The areas of Hefner Road and Kelley between Hefner and Britton Road are blocked off as crews battle the blaze.

OKC Firefighters initially responded to reports of a grass fire that had spread to at least one house near Kelley, between E. Hefner Road and E. Britton Road.

Sustained winds of approximately 25 mph are helping to fuel the flames. 

Authorities evacuated Oklahoma Centennial Mid-High School as a precaution. However, because of Spring Break no students were at the school.  

Firefighters reported around 2:15 p.m., that the house fire had been extinguished. 

Both Logan County and Spencer Fire were called out to assist with containing the fire. 

Nearly 100 acres have burned, according to reports. 

This is a developing story.

Firefighters reported around 2:15 p.m., that the house fire had been extinguished. 

TAC 2: Update-Fire crews have extinguished the house fire, they are checking for fire extension now. Crews are still fighting the wildland/grassfire.
