WARNER, Oklahoma - A Green Country school district says they will not be shutting down schools if teachers walk off the job next month.

The Warner Public Schools superintendent says teachers will go to the state capitol on April 2nd as a show of solidarity and school will be canceled that day.

However, classes will resume on Tuesday, April 3rd.

The district says they will be sending delegates to the capitol each week during the shutdown.

If lawmakers have not reached a solution by May 9th, Warner teachers will walk out after students complete requirements for the year.
