ICE Arrests 18 In Oklahoma, Three In Tulsa
DALLAS, Texas - U.S. Immigration and Customs says agents arrest 89 people in Oklahoma and north Texas during a 3-day operation.
Of those arrested, 18 occurred in Oklahoma. Three were in Tulsa and two were in Stillwater.
In a news release, ICE said agents primarily targeted illegal immigrants with prior criminal histories, including assault, rape, child sex abuse and drug crimes.
“This North Texas and Oklahoma operation removed 67 criminal aliens from our streets and our communities,” said Simona L. Flores, field office director of ERO Dallas.
“In addition to this valuable community service, our ICE officers also help maintain the integrity of our immigration laws.”
The Dallas area of responsibility includes 128 counties in North Texas and Oklahoma.
ICE says about a quarter of those arrested had been previously deported and 67 had criminal convictions.
