OEA President Expects A Good Reception From State Lawmakers

Hundreds of teachers from across the state will be at the state Capitol Monday for an education rally.

6 In The Morning spoke with Oklahoma Education Association president Alicia Priest and she says educators can expect a good reception from lawmakers Monday.  

Priest tells us they have built good relationships at the Capitol and they all have the same goal. 

"This is for our students. This is for hiring back teachers, this is for re-expanding that curriculum for the classes that have been cut  This is for textbooks and chairs and all the things that our students deserve so they can have a future," said Alicia Priest.

Priest was recently re-elected to serve as President of the Oklahoma Education Association for another term.
