During day two of the Oklahoma teacher walkouts, crowds around Tulsa are growing as people rally for education funding. The number of people along 71st Street from Aspen to Mingo just about doubled from Monday.

People were out showing their support.

There were teachers with 30 years experience, some with only a couple years and a few set to begin their first year in an Oklahoma classroom.

"I was there in '90 and it's frustrating for the cycle to continue," one teacher said.

Some put down their signs to tend to other needs out here - like keeping everyone hydrated and fed - because these teachers, parents and students don't plan on going anywhere anytime soon.

"Teachers don't want to be here. There is nothing pleasant about it.  I would say 99 percent of the people are supportive and wonderful and the other one percent not so much and they have a right to do that and it is what being in America is all about," a demonstrator said.

In Catoosa, Principal Sandee Cross gathered with her fellow educators and their children to rally for better funding.

"I think the momentum is going to stay," Cross said.  "We're not satisfied. We're not finished. We need to take care of these kids."

Kids like sisters Aubrey and Addison, 4 and 6.

"I tell them everyday they can be anything they want to be and do anything they want to do, but they have to put education first. They gotta stop putting us last so it's important. Definitely," said Tony Bailey, their dad.

Most of the people I've spoken to said they will be back out in the same locations Wednesday.
