Nearly 50 Green Country school districts will be out again Wednesday as teachers protest for more education funding at the state capitol.

For a third day, parents will have to figure out what to do with their kids.

Tens of thousands of kids are out of school because of Oklahoma teachers’ walkout.

While some families are scrambling to find childcare, Brandi Bynum says her company has a solution.

“I have my 14-year-old Avery, I have my 12-year-old Conley, and then I’ve got my 9-year-old Finley,” said Bynum.

“I am fine,” stated Finley.  “I’m not fine with being out of school because I miss my friends and I miss my teacher.”

While Bynum says she supports the teacher walkout, she was concerned about where her children would go when schools closed.

The children say being at their mom’s workplace is a “pleasant experience,” and Bynum says, “I will bring my kid to work every day that I can if it will help them do what they need to do.”

“I would encourage people to try and be as open-minded as possible and help their employees” said Liz Brolick from Switchgear Search and Recruiting.  “We definitely stand by our teachers and hope we can get additional funding for the classrooms.”

Brolick says she will allow her employees to bring their children to work for as long as it takes the teachers to rally for education funding.

For parents who can’t take their kids to work with them, here is a list of organizations that are trying to help.
