New TPS Program Helps Graduates Transition Into Classroom

Posted: Updated:
TULSA, Oklahoma -

Tulsa Public Schools is recruiting future teachers through a new program.

The Tulsa Teacher Corps helps graduates successfully transition into classrooms throughout the district.

"We want to make sure those who are entering our classrooms on day one really have an opportunity to learn what it means to be a great teacher here in Tulsa Public Schools, also have exposure to the tools and resources we use with our students," said Director of Talent Initiative Quentin Liggins.

The program launched earlier this year and, so far, TPS has received nearly 200 applications.

You do not have to be an education major to apply.

The deadline is May 7th.
