Students Get First-Hand Look At Tulsa County Sheriff's Office

Posted: Updated:
TULSA, Oklahoma -

Dozens of Tulsa area high school students are getting a taste of what it's like to be a deputy.

Tulsa Tech and the Tulsa County Sheriff's Office hosted a day-long forum on what it takes to work in law enforcement.

Thursday's event specifically focused on career paths for students who won't be ready to go to college right out of high school.

"There are jobs and opportunities available, all it takes is a little bit of commitment on their side and they can have a successful career and a successful life," said Tulsa County Sheriff Vic Regalado.

Tulsa Tech is holding similar forums on health, cosmetology, aviation and industrial fields.
