Road construction of any kind is tough to put up with. The only consolation in this instance is most of it shouldn't last too long.

But despite the headaches you may be enduring, construction along TULSA highways is moving at a rapid pace.

Deputy County Commissioner John Fothergill, says now is the best time to start.

"We have 4 seasons here in Oklahoma, and one of those seasons is the winter and when it freezes you can't do concrete very well or asphalt," Fothergill says asphalt plants won't even open if it's not going to be above 40 degrees.

“You know a lot of our roads are asphalt so that limits us on the amount of big repairs and construction jobs that we can do."

Although all of the road construction will benefit you in the future. Drivers like Jack Whitaker have just one word for that LONG, bumpy ride right now.

"Annoying being in the same traffic everyday for road construction."

ODOT says projects along the BA and highway 169 are expected to be complete this summer.
