One teacher from each of the district's schools was selected.  Five of them were recognized as finalists, with one selected as the district's Teacher of the Year.

On the district's Facebook page, this year, BA Teacher of the Year was Shelly Swisher from Broken Arrow High School. She will now go on to represent the district at the State Teacher of the Year competition this summer. 

In addition, the district' Facebook page said custodian Terry Austin from Leisure Park Elementary was recognized as Support Employee of the Year.
