Police arrest a man they said allegedly drove drunk in a metro neighborhood, while attempting to kidnap three people.

One victim said Jerry Stewart, 59, grabbed her shirt but she was able to break free.

On her way home from a nearby store, Elizabeth Casimiro, noticed a man in a tan SUV following her. She said he drove past her slowly and did the unexpected.

“He reached over and grabbed my shirt,” said Casimiro, victim. “Told me to get in the car right now.”

Casimiro was able to get away from him and ran to her home near Northwest 96th and Garnett. She said Stewart followed her home.

“My boyfriend got here and he was like, ‘Let’s go, we’re looking for him,’” said Casimiro. “We went on a speed chase like all throughout this neighborhood.”

Meanwhile, another citizen joined the chase. The witness called 911 and followed the same SUV after she noticed the man driving close to two young teenage girls.

“Them girls was scared and I knew they were,” said witness. “I looked at their faces and that’s why I intervened like that.”

All three people led officers to Stewart after they followed him to a Northwest Oklahoma City home.

When officers arrived, they noticed Stewart was drunk.

Casimiro and the witness identified Stewart and officers arrested him.

“I don’t even want to think about what could have happened in the car,” said Casimiro. “I would never see my kids again, who knows what he would have done.”

The teenage girls left before officers could find them. Police are asking if there are other possible victims to call them.
