Double Shooting In Delaware County
DELAWARE COUNTY, Oklahoma - The Delaware County Sheriff’s Office confirms one person is dead and another sent to a Tulsa hospital.
The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation was requested to assist with the investigation.
The shootings happened shortly after 6:00 p.m. in a rural part of the county southeast of Jay.
“It’s multiple scenes. We’re working three scenes related to this incident,” said Sheriff Harlan Moore. “You know, you hate scenes like this. This is not a good deal and, unfortunately, a man lost his life tonight.”
Investigators say two men entered the home of Dinh Van Hoang, where they shot and killed Hoang.
The OSBI says the suspects left Hoang’s home and later fired shots at Robbie Kirby’s vehicle. They say Kirby was struck multiple time and was transported to a Tulsa area hospital in stable condition.
The suspects have been identified as Waylon and Willie Russell of Jay.
They were taken into custody by Delaware County deputies, accused of first degree murder and shooting with intent to kill.
