Police are searching for a man who broke into an Oklahoma City business Tuesday, around 10:30 p.m. off Eastern Avenue.

The owner is also offering a personal reward for those who offer up information leading an arrest.

“The video shows he was there…I am gonna [sic] say for about 30 minutes before going in. He was watching to make sure no one was watching him,” said company employee Edgar Mata.

Video showed the thief pulling rubber from an area around window. Then, he wrapped it around his hand and threw a punch.

“After he took the rubber, he busted it with his hand and broke the whole window,” said Mata.

The man did not go in immediately. Instead, he ran behind the building for a few more moments.

Employees believe he hid just in case he triggered an alarm, but with the coast clear, he made his move.

When he finally went inside the building, he found nothing of value.

The staff said they had locked it all away. They reported the man took some snacks, a couple of knives, and walked right by the surveillance cameras.

“He took not expensive stuff like candies and regular stuff. That's not the point. The cost for the window replacement, door replacement, everything he broke cost more than what he took,” Mata said.

Damages total over 700 dollars.

Employees said this isn't the first time the shopping center has been burglarized. In fact, they reported being targeted many times before this crime.

The owner of the Rivers Edge shopping center is offering a $200 reward for information that leads to an arrest. If you have any information, you’re asked to call Oklahoma City Crime Stoppers.
