With just 11 days left until the run-off election, both Republican candidates for governor are stumping hard Friday.

Republican Gubernatorial Candidate Mick Cornett spent some time in Edmond talking with business leaders. But they talked about more than just business.

"It is good to be back in Edmond. I've always thought in Oklahoma City we could create a city that Edmond could be proud of,” said Cornett.

The former Oklahoma City mayor drew some laughs talking with small business owners at the Standard Business Initiative; a networking and referral group for business leaders.

In addition to talking about ways of drawing business to Oklahoma and keeping young Oklahomans here, he also talked for the need for meaningful criminal justice reform, not just building more prisons.

But his first order of business, Cornett said, is stopping the infighting at the Capitol.

"It's rural versus urban. It's Oklahoma City versus Tulsa. Republicans versus Democrats. Republicans versus Republicans. It's House versus Senate. And it just seems like our leadership is not getting around to governing,” said Cornett.
