The main upper level low responsible for the active weather yesterday will finally pinwheel away from the state later this afternoon and evening bringing very pleasant conditions into northeast Oklahoma Tuesday.  We could still experience a few small showers or scattered storms by midday to afternoon as the low ejects to the northeast, but the odds will remain very low and mostly across far northeast Oklahoma.  High temps this afternoon are currently modeling in the upper 70s and lower 80s but we’ll go slightly higher at 83 for the metro.  Dry air will arrive later today and set us up for some very nice temperatures tonight through the middle of the week.  Tuesday morning lows will be in the lower to mid-60s with some valleys across northeast Oklahoma in the upper 50s.  Daytime highs tomorrow should top out in the 83 to 86 range along with north winds, sunshine and low humidity.

The upper air flow will transition again to a northwest pattern for a few days allowing at least two chances for MCS activity across northern Oklahoma.  The first would arrive Wednesday morning.  The 2nd Thursday morning.  It’s the 2nd wave that appears to have the better coverage and possibilities of impacting a larger area across northeastern Oklahoma compared to the Wednesday morning system.  Temps both days will be a result of cloud cover and any precip impacts.  I’ve trended the highs down a notch for these periods with highs around 83 and lows in the mid-60s.

Thursday into Friday, another mid-level trough will eject across Montana into the Dakotas and allow a surface warm front to move northeast across the state bringing a return to August weather for Oklahoma.  We’ll experience morning lows in the 70s this weekend with highs in the mid-90s Friday through early next week.
