Oklahoma City Police are looking for a serial meat thief. The manager of the Super Mercado on South Western reported the suspected shoplifter to police.

The man has been spotted at the store at least three times and goes straight to the meat aisle.

“On one occasion the report says he stole about $200 worth of meat,” said Officer Megan Morgan, Oklahoma City Police Department. “And another occasion around $300.”

He reportedly fills a cart with meat and walks out.

The store manager caught the suspect on video walking out of the store. He said the man knew he was being watched and left a cart of packaged meat behind.

“When I caught him he was watching me,” said Alejandro Haro, store manager. “I was eyeing him and he was like, he just left the cart there.”

Haro said shoplifting is a problem at his store and other metro Super Mercado locations experience the same issues.

Employees are told to not confront shoplifters for safety reasons.

“I don’t know what kind of person he is,” said Haro. “He might be an aggressive guy or something.”

Instead of confronting the suspect, Haro is working with police by spreading the man's picture on social media, in hopes someone will recognize him.

If you recognize the man in the photo call Crime Stoppers at 405-235-7300.
