Two people are in jail accused of stealing hundreds of dollars from a person who was trying to buy a cell phone.

Tulsa Police say the victim agreed to buy an iPhone 7 from Cashanesia Romaine after meeting on Facebook. The two arranged to meet at a QuikTrip, after arriving, Romaine said they needed to go to a McDonald's so that they could test the Wi-Fi and prove that everything was in working order.

At the McDonald's the victim says he gave Romaine the $300. That's when he says Romaine and Richard Shook took off with the money and phone. The victim was able to get a description of the suspect's car and a picture of the license plate.

Officers caught up with the suspects and were able to recover the phone but did not recover the money.
