TULSA, Oklahoma - A donut run led to an unusual accident Friday morning in Tulsa. It happened around 8 a.m. in a neighborhood near 6th and Zunis.

Police said a man was on his way home from getting donuts when he noticed his pickup's door was ajar. He reached out to close it and ended up falling into the street, officers said.

The truck kept going, knocking down street signs then jumping a curb and crashing into a corner house. The man ran after the truck but couldn't catch it in time to stop it, officers said.

He wasn't hurt, and fortunately, the home was vacant. Police cited the man and told News On 6 the driver seemed to be more concerned about having to tell his wife about the donut run than the wreck.
