The Brett Kavanaugh Supreme Court confirmation process has suddenly taken a turn in the direction of the Clarence Thomas hearings.

Just like 1991 a woman has come forward with sexual allegations against the nominee.

This time it goes all the way back to high school and an alleged sexual attack by Kavanaugh at a teenage party.

Kavanaugh says it never happened and is willing to testify about it at a special hearing Monday.

His accuser, Christine Blasey Ford, through her attorney, says she won't testify Monday demanding that the FBI investigate the case first.

The FBI has already conducted several background checks on Kavanaugh through the years, with no problems ever coming up.

If they want to take a week and look into this further, I'm ok with that.

But what if the FBI investigates and finds no evidence to support the accusation, but then suddenly another allegation is made?

Where does it end?

We don't know if Christine Blasey Ford's allegation is accurate, yet the mere accusation has at least one Democratic Senator on the Judicial Committee calling for the President to withdraw Kavanaugh's nomination to the court.

Does that mean any future Supreme Court nominee ACCUSED of a sexual crime despite a virtually spotless past is suddenly deemed ineligible to serve?

I'm Kelly Ogle and that's My 2 Cents.
