Your 2 Cents: ‘First Man’ Captures Importance Of Moon Landing

"First Man" the movie about Neil Armstrong stepping onto the moon sparked some boycotts because it excluded the planting of U.S. flag on the lunar surface.

I saw the movie and say the boycotts are unnecessary, the flag is frequently shown.  

Here's what you had to say:

James said, "My history loving side wants to see it. But they lost me by leaving out the planting of the flag. I will see it in a year or so when it comes on TV."

Tim asked, "Socialist Star, liberal Hollywood did you really think the American Flag would take the spotlight?"

Jessica wrote, "I don't care if ol' glory is on their spaceship, spacesuits etc. they purposely left the planting of the American flag out of their movie, in my opinion that was the most notable moment. I'll pass, Kelly."

But Suzy in Midwest City said, "The planting of the flag was not what this was about. It was about the people, not a history lesson. You are missing a great movie so it's your loss."

Rodney in Moore wrote, "It's my understanding that it is underperforming. My assumption is because most are tired of Hollywood's anti-American stance on most things."

Larry said, "…sad that Hollywood would leave out the most prideful seen. I wonder if Trump was on the minds of the directors and producers at the time?"

Lastly, Clifford added, “No Flag I'm out."
