Tulsa’s Oktoberfest is holding its corporate night Wednesday and opens to the public Thursday at 5:00 p.m.

This is the 40th year for the Linde Oktoberfest in Tulsa.

Organizers are busy setting up all the schnitzels, strudels, pretzels, and beer.

“People can expect an authentic Bavarian festival, right here in Tulsa,” said Lacey Taylor.  “The can expect authentic food, everything from brats to schnitzel, a variety of musicians and bands – we actually have bands in from Germany.”

Tonja Carrigg with Tulsa River Parks stopped by 6 In The Morning Wednesday to talk about what's new this year.

One new feature of this year’s festival is the Bavarian Cup, which includes events like a barrel race and tug o’ war.  You can still sign up for the competitions.

Oktoberfest happens October 18th through the 21st at River West Festival Park.
