TULSA, Oklahoma - Flynn Restaurant Group said it has purchased 368 Arby's restaurants from Tulsa-based United States Beef Corporation. The New Jersey restaurant group said in a news release that they purchased the franchises through their subsidiary RB American Group LLC.

US Beef opened its first Arby's in 1969 and became one of the country's top 10 franchises, according to their website. They owned Arby's locations in 9 Midwest and western states including Oklahoma, Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, Illinois and Colorado.

US Beef Chairman Jeff Davis said they felt positive about selling to Flynn because of the company's reputation.

“When we decided to sell US Beef, it was critical for us to find a true restaurateur with a similar family culture who has a penchant for growth and offered opportunities for our people. Greg Flynn and his company have a stellar reputation for diversified expansion and they ideally fit our criteria for the brand’s growth," he said in a news release.

Flynn Restaurant said with the 368 new restaurants, they now own 1,245 "quick-service, fast casual and casual" restaurants generating $2.3 billion in sales and employing about 50,000 people in 33 states. Other restaurants include Applebee's, Panera Bread and Taco Bell.
