TULSA, Oklahoma - The City of Tulsa is finalizing its preparations for the possibility of a winter storm. They will talk more about their plan Thursday afternoon.

Organizers will also reveal their backup plans for the Tulsa Christmas Parade which is scheduled for Saturday. The festival of Light Christmas parade in Sand Springs has already been canceled for Friday night.

PSO and OG&E said they're contacting out of state power companies in case they're needed here.

"We're just kinda getting ready to pull triggers on things if we need to," said Kathleen O’Shea with OG&E.

PSO said it requested 150 additional workers from out of state to come to Oklahoma. 50 of them will be assigned to the Tulsa area, the other one hundred will be deployed to Southwestern Oklahoma, where ice is expected to be a bigger problem.
