Broken Arrow Police say they arrested a student for leaving a shooting threat at the high school.
Police identify the student as Hipolito Hernandez, 18.
The department says the threat was a message written on a bathroom mirror referring to a shooting that would happen Friday, December 14, 2018.

Police say they quickly identified and interviewed Hernandez, thanks to help from school administrators. Police arrested Hernandez on a complaint of Threatening a Violent Act.
Officers say they determined the threat wasn't credible for a variety of reasons, but they say it still violated the law.
“The threat was made one day prior to the anniversary date of the Sandy Hook school shooting. We will do everything in our power to prevent chances of a similar event happening here in Broken Arrow. This includes strictly enforcing existing threats laws,” said Broken Arrow Police Major Scott Bennett.
