Police say a meth arrest in Sand Springs turns up dozens of stolen checks in Pawnee County.
Michael Cummings' arrest report says he allegedly broke into an Indian Electric Cooperative's mailbox in Cleveland and stole mail.
The report says an officer discovered 21 checks, made out to Indian Electric from various people, inside Michael Cummings' wallet.
The officer found the checks after arresting Cummings on complaints of public intoxication and drug paraphernalia.
Sand Springs Police say an employee at the QuikTrip off Highways 97 and 412 asked the officer to check on Cummings because he'd been loitering in the store and acted like he might be on meth.
The officer says Cummings admitted to using meth earlier in the day and had a used syringe in his pocket.
Cleveland Police told the officer, 160 pieces of mail had been stolen from Indian Electric that day.
Michael Cummings was booked into the Tulsa County jail on 21 stolen property complaints.
Court records show Cummings has an arrest warrant out of LeFlore County for failing to appear in court and pay fines.
