Serving Food To Families At Tulsa Public Schools

A fourth of all Oklahoma children do not have enough food to eat each day. The Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma is working hard to change that number.

As part of our 6 Days of Christmas, News On 6 helped dish out dinner to families at Gilcrease Elementary School.

All Souls Unitarian Church is a partner in education with three different schools in Tulsa, according to Senior Pastor Marlin Lavanhar. They do a meal with each school each month, feeding 500 families.

Families that enjoy getting together and sharing a meal. It's a great connection to create community in the school.
