Broken Heater Closes Stidham Public Schools

Stidham Public Schools will be closed Thursday and Friday, January 3 and 4. A spokesperson for the school system said they have a broken heater in a kindergarten room and decided to delay students' return from winter break.

Teachers were at the school Wednesday for a professional day, she said. Students were supposed to return January 3 but are now expected Monday, January 7.

Stidham is in McIntosh County near Lake Eufaula.
