Victim Helps Officers Catch Sapulpa Robbery Suspect

Police booked a man into the Sapulpa city jail accused of trying to rob a woman in a fast food restaurant parking lot Tuesday evening, January 8th.

Police booked a man into the Sapulpa city jail accused of trying to rob a woman in a fast food restaurant parking lot Tuesday evening, January 8th.

Police say a man walked up to a woman sitting in her car at Church's Chicken, pulled a knife and attempted to rob her at about 8 p.m.

Officers say the victim didn't give the man anything, instead she put her car in gear and drove away. The man then ran off.

Officers say the woman, called 911 and followed the unidentified man from a distance. Police say with the woman's help, they were able catch up with the man and arrest him.

The man is expected to be transferred to the Creek County Jail on Wednesday. Police add, the victim was not injured in the robbery attempt.
