Police arrested four people early Friday after they stopped a stolen car and discovered a handgun hidden in the car.
They identified the four as Clayton Waldon, Kay Kent, Cody Moore and Treshandra Buckhorn.
Officers stopped the car at about 1 a.m. near 11th and Sheridan. They say they found a 22-caliber pistol with an altered serial number under a seat.
Police say no one in the car would say whose gun it is, so they could all face charges related to the pistol.
"The occupant of that seat was a convicted felon so he will be charged with possession of a firearm after the conviction of a felony. The other occupants will be charged with joy riding in a stolen vehicle, or unauthorized use of a stolen vehicle in the case of the driver," said Tulsa Police Captain Malcolm Wightman.
All four were booked into the Tulsa County jail.
Police say the car was returned to its owner.
