Mayes County Sheriff’s Office Investigates Discovery Of Body

The Mayes County Sheriff’s Office says it is investigating after a body was found Wednesday.

Major Rod Howell says people walking discovered the body on private property west of Langley. The OSBI and the Medical Examiner’s Office are assisting with the investigation.

The body has not been identified yet, but Howell confirmed it is a man.

Howell said at this time his office does not suspect foul play.

The Medical Examiner will determine the man’s identity and exact cause of death.
