The National Weather Service on Friday afternoon issued a Travel Advisory for parts of northeast Oklahoma.
The advisory will be in place from 4 a.m. to noon on Saturday, January 19, 2019.
The advisory covers Craig, Mayes, Cherokee, Adair, Delaware and Ottawa Counties in Oklahoma. It also extends into northwest Arkansas, southwest Missouri and eastern Kansas.
Chief Meteorologist Travis Meyer says these areas have the best chance for a quick glaze of ice followed by potential 1"-2" of snow Saturday morning. Some blowing snow expected with howling north winds, he says.
