Sand Springs House Fire Claims Dog's Life

A dog was killed in a fire Tuesday night in Sand Springs, authorities said.

The blaze broke out at about 9:15 p.m. at a home near 11th Street and Roosevelt Avenue, according to the Sand Springs Fire Department.

The owner of the home was not present at the time, but her dog died in the fire, authorities said.

Investigators are looking into what caused the fire.
