Police say a woman fighting with her ex-girlfriend hit another woman on the head with a set of nunchucks.
Officers were called to a home in the 3400 block of N.W. 66th Street just before 3 a.m. on December 1. When they arrived, they found two people holding down 47-year-old Lisa Arlene Ward.
Witnesses told police Ward and her ex-girlfriend had recently broken up, but saw each other that night at a bar. The two began fighting, so friends took Ward's ex-girlfriend to their home.
The friends said Ward constantly called her ex-girlfriend once they reached the house, demanding to know where she was. One friend admitted to police she eventually took the phone and told Ward the address. She said she told Ward to come over and fight because she was tired of Ward threatening them.
When Ward arrived, witnesses said she hit one of her ex's friends over the head with nunchucks. The woman had a laceration on one ear, and swelling and redness on her cheek.
Police arrested Ward. When they searched her, they found a burned pipe that contained marijuana residue.
Police said on the ride to the jail, she told an officer, "I'm a violent b****," and that she "loved marijuana" because she was hyper and it made her calm.
Ward was booked into the Oklahoma County jail for assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was also wanted in Cleveland County on an outstanding warrant for failure to appear.
