The Tulsa Police Department released the names of police officers involved in a deadly shooting on Friday, September 16, 2016. Officer Betty Shelby is the officer who fired her weapon, killing Terence Crutcher.

Officer Tyler Turnbough deployed his Taser during the incident.

Shelby has been with the department since December, 2011, Turnbough since January, 2009. Shelby has been placed on routine administrative leave, according to a news release.

The department has said it is working this weekend to have all audio and video records of Friday night's fatal officer-involved shooting available at a news conference planned for 1:30 p.m. Monday.

"This is an ongoing process as the audio and video files are from multiple sources," a news release from the department states.

Terence Crutcher, 40, was shot and killed near 36th Street North and North Lewis. Tulsa Police said officers en route to another call came upon Crutcher's car stalled in the roadway.

A spokesperson for the police department said Crutcher refused repeated orders to show police his hands. When police say Crutcher reached back into the car, officers deployed a Taser and one shot was fired, hitting the Tulsa man, the TPD spokesperson said.

Crutcher died of his injuries at a hospital, police said.

Tulsa attorney Damario Solomon-Simmons, who represents Crutcher's family, released a statement saying it was an "extremely sad and serious situation as Terrence was a beloved father, brother, son, and friend."

His family called on TPD to released "any and all unedited dash-cam footage," and asked any witnesses to the shooting to call Solomon-Simmons' office at 918-587-3161.

Tulsa Police Chief Chuck Jordan said he has contacted the Department of Justice through the U.S. Attorney's Office of the Northern District of Oklahoma and will be working with them throughout the investigation, a news release states.
