The story goes there’s a round house in Rogers County that was built to resemble a fishing reel.
While that may or may not be true, the most unusual house is indeed for sale.
The house was built in 1970 by RD Hull, who invented the first Spincast fishing reel produced by Zebco.
Bill and June York have lived in the five-bedroom house for 15 years.
"Three of the rooms are theme decorated, this one is Italian," June said.
One is French, one Asian. The bathrooms carry the theme of the adjoining bedroom.
"This is the master. It's like a three-room suite," she said; the bedroom, an office and a sitting room.
The centerpiece of the house is a very large swimming pool surrounded by a 15-foot wide circular hallway. Off that are the bedrooms and living areas, including living room, dining room and a huge kitchen.
June said, "It has two dishwashers, two refrigerators, two sinks two garbage disposals."
It’s also made for entertaining -12,000-square feet under the roof, ten air conditioners, five hot water heaters, three cooking areas and a four-car garage.
It sits on six acres, with a pond that more like a lake.
Most of the original furnishings are still inside so, as they say on those house hunter shows, it is move-in ready.
The asking price for the house is $6 million.
