The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says a truck hauling vehicles caught fire twice on Interstate 44 in Tulsa.

The Tulsa Fire Department was called out at about 12:30 a.m. Thursday when an inside tire on the trailer caught on fire as the truck was westbound near the Union exit. After firefighters put out the fire, the truck continued westbound.

The OHP says about four miles down the highway, the inside tire on the same side of the trailer caught fire. The Tulsa Fire Department put out the second fire, which damaged a car on the trailer.

The truck's driver said the vehicles were being shipped to California.
