Tulsa Police arrested a man they say stole a necklace from around the neck of a jewelry kiosk salesman at Promenade Mall. Tevin Griffin, 19, was booked on complaints of larceny from a person and assault and battery.

The theft took place at about noon Monday when two men, posing as customers, talked to the salesman. One grabbed the necklace the merchant was wearing, hit the salesman a few times then ran off with his friend.

Police reviewed mall security video which gave them a good description of the men and their car - including the license tag. Officers found the car at about midnight near Boston and Pine. The men were standing outside the car talking.

Police recovered the necklace and a .45-caliber pistol from the vehicle. They arrested Griffin for the theft.
