The University of Tulsa announced, Wednesday, the termination of the university's president, Geoffrey Orsak.
In a short statement issued to the media, the school said the termination was effective immediately.
No reason was given for the decision.
The TU board has authorized Executive Vice President Kevan Buck to manage the day-to-day operations of the university.
Orsak, 48, started as TU's president on July 1 of this year.
