Another Bartlesville Police officer has filed a federal lawsuit against the city of Bartlesville.

In the latest lawsuit, Adam Walker alleges the police department has "created a work environment so retaliatory in nature" that it has affected his ability to perform his police duties.

Walker states in his complaint that after bringing repeated violations, discrepancies and treatment to his supervisor, he became the victim of retaliation.

He says the retaliation included reduction of rank after he was suspended from the department's "special officers team."

Walker's lawsuit is the third one this year.  His suit follows similar lawsuits filed in Tulsa federal court by Bartlesville police officers Beth Mitchell and Cody Thomas.

In June 2011, Sergeant Beth Mitchell claimed she has been repeatedly discriminated against. Mitchell also claims she was passed over several times for promotions.

Former officer Cody Thomas also claims he was harassed, but he says it was his ethnicity not gender that put a target on his back.

Thomas' lawsuit claims he was subjected to racially-charged comments because of his Hispanic heritage.

The city of Bartlesville declined comment.

All three officers are represented by the same attorneys.
