TULSA, Oklahoma – A couple of Tulsa-area teams are saving their big games for Saturday this weekend.

Broken Arrow and Booker T. Washington will both play Saturday in Texas.

The Tigers will take on Odessa Permian, the team made famous from the book, movie and TV series "Friday Night Lights."

Booker T. Washington will take on Abilene High School.

Nathan Hale hosted McClain on Thursday night in Tulsa and McClain came away with a 25-6 victory.

Hale will visit Hilldale next Friday while McLain will host Catoosa.

Perhaps the biggest regular season game of the year takes place Friday night when Jenks and Union meet in the annual Backyard Bowl.

The contest will take place at 7 p.m. at TU Chapman Stadium on the University of Tulsa campus.

Jenks running back and Oklahoma commit Alex Ross said he can't see any reason to ever stop the storied rivalry.

"It never gets old," Ross said. "You love playing them. You probably don't love them, but you love playing them."
