The Oklahoma Employment Security Commission announced that it will extend benefits for eligible Oklahomans beginning Wednesday.

The federal government's Pandemic Emergency Unemployment Compensation is a program to help residents who have run out of regular benefits.

Eligible Oklahomans will receive 13 more weeks of unemployment benefits for the period beginning the week of March 29 through the week of December 26.

If your regular benefits ended since July 1, 2019, have completed regular unemployment benefits to date and file the PEUC application, the OESC said you might be eligible to receive benefits via the PEUC claim.

If an applicant is in the middle of receiving normal unemployment relief, then they will not receive relief under a PEUC claim.

Oklahomans can apply online for additional benefits by clicking here.
