Circle Cinema announced it is temporarily closing as of July 8th due to the rise in COVID-19 cases throughout Oklahoma.

Officials said they made this decision for the safety of staff and the theater's guests.

Officials said "we cannot in good conscience remain open in a time of increased health risk."

Officials also stated that Circle Cinema would be closed until at least August 7th, and they will continue to reevaluate and monitor case numbers and community health factors.

Officials said they "appreciate Tulsa's support during our initial closure March 16 through June 18 and since our short-lived reopening on June 19. We look forward to healthy days in the future when we can once again be presenting films and events in our historic cinema."

Circle Cinema will continue to offer "watch-at-home programming through Virtual Screening rentals and free digital content."
