Lifting weights might come as a challenge for some, but for one Muskogee Pastor it was a chance to grow a stronger faith and to stay alive.

Everyone has a purpose in life and for some, their purpose might be a higher calling. After graduating high school in 2001, Frank Miller thought he was headed off to play college football.

Miller, the Pastor of Genesis Church in Muskogee, said, "I was training one day, getting ready to go down to enroll in the college and I started to have massive chest pressure. It just stuck with me for a few days, they ran some tests and then called my mom a couple of weeks later and they were like hey is your son still there and she was like yes, get him to the hospital immediately."

Miller was diagnosed with Cardiomyopathy at the age of 17. Through his faith and strength in the gym, he's shown it was a chance to stay alive.

"You know, people want to get better, it’s just inspiring them to get there and showing them how they can do it,” said Miller.

Frank has added an extra 75 pounds of weight in 10 years and is putting the past in his rear-view mirror.

"When I was 19 years old I had a pacemaker put in. Literally If I walked up a flight of stairs, I had to take 5 minutes to catch my breath,” said Miller.

He now makes 425 pounds look easy to lift. For Miller, though, it all comes back to paying it forward.

"I’m going to take this journey for health and I'm going to do everything I can to be the best man spiritually and physically that I can be for you,” said Miller.
