Loved Ones Honor Tulsa 16-Year-Old Murdered In Double Shooting

Family and friends of Na’veha Alexander came together Thursday night for a prayer vigil after the 16-year-old and her aunt were shot and killed Wednesday.

Police said Chantel Dean’s boyfriend Howard Peeples is the man responsible. He was arrested a mile away from where the shooting happened.

Alexander’s mother, Tiffany, said she’s blown away by how loved her daughter was. She said she was every bit of a loving 16-year-old girl.

“Na’veha was a real loving person, she was understandable too,” a cousin said. “You could reason with her with anything and every time she came around, she brought smiles to everybody, she lit up the room. She didn’t deserve this at all.”

Friends and family said Alexander had everything going for her and was always the life of the party.

“She didn’t deserve what happened to her, I speak for her and any other young lady that their life was gone too soon,” another cousin said. “She’ll live through all of us, forever, she will never be forgotten.”

There was a vigil for the other victim, Dean, Wednesday night.
