Tulsa police say two people are in custody after leading officers on an overnight chase in a stolen SUV.

Tulsa police say two people are in custody after leading officers on an overnight chase in a stolen SUV.

According to police, it all started around 1 a.m. on Thursday morning near East 2nd Street and South Memorial Drive.

Police say officers began following the SUV and tried to pull the driver over, but he kept going, leading officers on a chase through a residential neighborhood.

According to police, the driver eventually hit a TPD's patrol car. Officers say the driver then fled from the car on foot and attempted to run away but was caught by police.

Police say two women were also in the car during the pursuit. One was arrested for having drugs on her. The other was allowed to go home.

Tulsa police say there is some damage to the patrol unit that was hit but no officers were hurt.

Officers have not identified the driver or passenger who were arrested.
