Department Of Interior Grants $7 Million To Indian Youth Service Corps For Conservation Projects

The Department of the Interior is giving $7 million to the Indian Youth Service Corps for native-led conservation projects.

The IYSC was launched in 2022 and helps give education, well-paying jobs and training opportunities to Native youth.

The Corps carries out conservation projects on public and Tribal lands around the country.

The Interior Department said this funding will help expand the Corps by 30 percent to reach more than 5,000 Native youth nationally.
