Amanda Taylor can be seen weekdays co-anchoring the 5, 6, and 10 p.m. news and going to bat for Oklahoma consumers.

Taylor has given Oklahomans a place to turn should they need a little help, and it is her fair and caring nature that nets results. Since joining the News 9 team, Taylor has won multiple awards for her work as our Consumer Watch reporter. These include a number of Emmys, Association of Broadcasters awards, Associated Press honors, and Society of Professional Journalist awards. One of the highlights was receiving a picture that hangs on her wall of a courtroom sketch of Taylor taking the stand in a federal fraud case.  It was her story and testimony that helped put a con-man behind bars.

However, she is most proud of her work with the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma and their Food for Kids program. She received an Emmy nomination for her personal story of her father's struggle with hunger. And through that, and her community outreach, she has helped raise more than two million dollars to feed hungry children.

Taylor graduated from the University of Florida but grew up a "Hoosier" in Bloomington, Indiana. She joined the News 9 team in 2006 after leaving KENS in San Antonio, Texas. Prior to her work in San Antonio, Taylor also reported and anchored for KAUZ in Wichita Falls, Texas and WUFT in Gainesville, Florida.

When you don't see Taylor on television, she keeps busy chasing after her very active 2 year old son Gage and hanging out with her husband Nick and their two Wheaten Terriers, named William and Sonoma. If you couldn't tell by the dogs' names, she also enjoys cooking and makes a mean grilled salmon. One of her first stops when she moved to Oklahoma was Eischen's – and it's still one of her favorite places to eat. Amanda also enjoys gardening and crafts.
