Amanda Taylor can be seen weekdays co-anchoring the 5pm, 6pm, and 10pm newscasts and reporting on issues important to Oklahomans.

Taylor has tackled topics ranging from water quality to human trafficking. She’s traveled to cities across the country pursuing quality information for her reports.  She also has a passion for the welfare of children. Since joining the News 9 team, Taylor has been recognized with multiple awards for her work. These include a number of Emmys, Edward R. Murrow Award, Oklahoma Association of Broadcasters awards, Associated Press honors, and Society of Professional Journalist awards.

An interesting souvenir from her work is a picture, which hangs in her office, of a courtroom sketch showing Taylor taking the stand in a federal fraud case.  It was her story and testimony that helped put a con-man behind bars. However, Amanda is most proud of her work with News 9 and the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma’s Food for Kids program. She received an Emmy nomination for the emotional telling of her story about her father's struggle with hunger. Through that, and her other community outreach efforts, she has helped raise more than two million dollars to feed hungry children.

Taylor graduated from the University of Florida but grew up a "Hoosier" in Bloomington, Indiana. She joined the News 9 team in 2006 after leaving KENS in San Antonio, Texas. Prior to her work in San Antonio, Taylor reported and anchored for KAUZ in Wichita Falls, Texas and WUFT in Gainesville, Florida.

When you don't see Taylor on television, she keeps busy chasing after her very active 2 children and hanging out with her husband Nick and their two Wheaten Terriers - named William and Sonoma. If you couldn't tell by the dogs' names, Amanda also enjoys cooking, which she had more time to do before children!  Taylor also enjoys crafts and photography.
