Burgundy wine 2 tbsp. soy sauce 1/4 tsp. onion salt 1/4 tsp. garlic salt 1/4 tsp. seasoned salt 2 tbsp. cornstarch 1/4 c. water Hot, cooked rice * Note: "Beef Tips" are 1-inch cubed pieces of boneless top sirloin roast. Personally, I like to use Certified Angus "Beef for Stew", available at Reasor's.
Brown beef tips in shortening. Stir in consommé, wine, soy sauce and salts. Heat to boiling. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 1 hour or until meat is tender.
Blend cornstarch and water; stir gradually into meat mixture. Cook and stir until mixture thickens, about 2 minutes. Serve over hot cooked rice.
