Richard Roberts Agrees To News On 6 Interview

ORU President Richard Roberts has agreed to be interviewed, live on The News On 6, an ORU representative said. Roberts will sit down with Six in the Morning anchor LeAnne Taylor in the 6 o'clock hour of Friday's show. It will be his first Tulsa television interview since a lawsuit was filed alleging wrongful termination and misuse of funds.

That lawsuit was filed by three former ORU professors. It accuses Roberts of lavish spending at donors' expense, including remodeling projects at his home, use of the university jet for his daughter's senior trip to the Bahamas, and two high-end cars, a Mercedes and a Lexus SUV, for his wife.

Roberts appeared on "Larry King Live" earlier this week. During the interview, Roberts stressed he has done nothing wrong, and the allegations he is facing are completely unfounded.
